WE CHANGE YOUR WORLD
ONE CONVERSATION AT A TIME

ABOUT

WHO AM I?

As a dedicated trauma-informed counsellor, I bring a unique blend of experience to my practice, having spent five years supporting survivors of domestic abuse and two decades serving in the Emergency Services. My journey into counselling was inspired by my firsthand encounters with individuals who have faced profound challenges and adversity, and my long-term commitment to help them heal and thrive.

I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities of trauma and abuse and its lasting impact on individuals and communities. This experience has equipped me with a unique perspective when working with clients, allowing me to approach each session with empathy, compassion, and above all a non-judgmental attitude. I recognise that every client's journey is unique, and I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their feelings and experiences at their own pace.

At The Appleton Practice, I utilise a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the individual needs of my clients. I focus on empowering clients to reclaim their own narratives and rebuild their lives, fostering resilience and personal growth. I believe in the power of collaboration, and I work alongside each client to develop personalised strategies that promote healing and well-being.

I am experienced in positively engaging children up to and including their teenage years, I have additional qualifications in self-harm and suicide awareness and I am comfortable speaking openly about the array of difficult issues our generation of teenagers and children face.

If you or someone you know is struggling to navigate the complexities of life, I am here to listen, support, and guide you on your journey toward healing. Together, we can work towards a brighter future.
